Founded by Jennifer Stephens, a lifelong resident of Whitley County and a veteran of nearly three decades in the cosmetology industry, the academy is the culmination of a dream. After 19 years of running her own thriving salon in Williamsburg, Jennifer realized her passion wasn’t just about mastering the craft—it was about people. Every client she served, every stylist she mentored, inspired her vision for a place where aspiring professionals could discover their gifts and step boldly into the future.

Here, learning feels like stepping into possibility. Our programs meet students wherever they are in their journey:

- Shampoo Stylist Program – the perfect first step for beginners, building essential skills in client care, scalp treatments, and basic styling while nurturing confidence and professionalism.

Learning Looks Different at CEA!
Who says Infection Control has to be boring?
This week, our students took on Milady Foundations Chapter 5 with a hands-on learning exercise that turned the classroom into a real-life lesson on how germs spread. Each student designed a t-shirt to represent an infectious virus, then used color-coded sticky notes to track every surface they touched throughout the day.
The results? Eye-opening!
And let's just say... Jennifer Stephens earned the title of "Super Spreader" of the group!
By the end of the exercise, students could visually see how quickly contamination can happen and why proper infection control, sanitation, and disinfection are critical in the beauty industry.
These are the kinds of creative, out-of-the-box learning experiences that set Cosmetology Elite Academy apart. We don't just teach students to memorize information—we help them experience it, understand it, and apply it in real-world situations.
